Advice for Students

E-safety for Students

Support at College

The Brixham College Tutors and Student Support Team are always on hand to support students that are in need of a helping hand. This includes dealing with incidents that have occured online or concern you may have for someone else and their online behaviour.

The Golden rule is always tell someone. If you cannot do it yourself then tell a friend it will always help in the long run.

We have put together some quick guidlines for staying safe and using the internet at home, they can be accessed here.

Also see below for some great external resources

Young people

The internet provides lots of opportunities for chatting with friends, playing games and creating your own content. To help you get the most out of the internet, we've brought together the latest information on staying safe online.

What's new online?

The internet is constantly changing with new applications and programmes being developed every day. This section is going to try and keep you as up to date as possible on what’s new, cool and link you to some things that we like.

Need to talk to someone ?

Some people find online chat a better way to explain problems.

Chat with a ChildLine counsellor about anything that is worrying you in a 1-2-1 session - this works like instant messenger.
