Brixham College was subject to a Section 8 inspection on 27th September 2017.
Ofsted judged the College to be ‘Good’ in all areas.
Ofsted recognised Brixham College’s strong culture of safeguarding where parents feel that communication with school staff is good and that their children receive the support they need.
The inspection team also concluded that “2017 examination results show an increased number of the highest grades, particularly in English…. Subjects are well led and pupils make progress in every subject” and that “Progress in the Sixth Form also continues to improve each year. The quality of teaching and the programme of study is good. Students value the expert subject knowledge of teachers, have good pastoral support, value the enrichment opportunities available and are well supported with careers advice and guidance.”
