Cryptosporidium

May 16, 2024 02:33pm

Following on from this weeks update, we are implementing the following measures to ensure the safety of our staff and students.

As a precaution, SWW has advised students and staff to only drink bottled water; therefore, drinking water facilities will be out of use until further notice at the school. Rest assured, there is plenty of bottled water available at Brixham College. Additionally, South West Water has set up a bottled water collection point at Broadsands Car Park TQ4 6HX. It will be open until 9pm tonight.

We will continue to ensure staff and children continue to follow good hygiene and additional hand sanitisation stations have been set up to prevent the spread.

Brixham College will remain open and continue to operate as usual. All exams will take place as planned. We would advise that students bring bottled or pre-boiled, cooled water to consume during exams if possible. Please note that for exams, water needs to be contained in a clear bottle.

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that we are continually doing everything necessary to keep your children and school community safe and we are following all relevant health and safety advice to ensure Brixham College is a safe learning environment.

Thank you once again for your continued support – we will continue to keep you updated with any developments. If you have any queries, please contact us via phone or email and we will help as best we can.
