At Brixham College, we are delighted with the performance of our students this year.
The 2023 cohort have returned to the normal challenges of examination expectations following a significant period of disruption on their educational journey.
The College is pleased to see a year of strong results, we are extremely pleased to see improving grades in English and Maths and an improvement overall.
This year’s results are an improvement on 2022 and 2019 which were pre-pandemic. A positive indicator the College is continuing a trajectory of improvement and recovery from the pandemic.
For many of our students the disruption of their education created uncertainty and apprehension, students worked with ambitious and dedication to ensure they achieved success this Summer.
Many of our students have secured top grades, particularly in English, Languages and Art subjects. These will enable our students to progress to their next stage in life, for many continuing at Brixham Sixth Form, apprenticeships and other further education opportunities.
A huge congratulations to our students, staff and parents who have provided outstanding support and continuous commitment to helping our young people achieve these amazing outcomes.
Some individual successes are:
Jack Franklin is really pleased with his grade in History, English Language and English Literature that he sat in Year 10. “It was really useful to take this exam earlier as it took the pressure off an additional one this year.
