On 17th March 2026, Brixham College, Curledge Street Academy, Furzeham Primary and Nursery School, Kings Ash Academy, and Paignton Academy took to the stage to showcase their music, drama and dance performances.
Lodestar Academy designed and contributed a range of artwork specially curated for the event for guests to see on arrival to the theatre.
Across two performances, students put on an unforgettable show as they treated their audiences by displaying their talents.

The event marked the first time all six of our Torbay schools united under one roof to showcase performing arts on this scale.
Mr G. Hardman, Head of Music and Drama at Brixham College, was delighted to see his students and others express themselves on stage.
“The students should feel so proud of their performances, and they represented the very best of our schools.
“At Brixham College, performing arts play such an important role in supporting their personal development by immersing them in rich and varied learning environments”.
At the Thinking Schools Academy Trust we’re committed to a metacognitive approach to learning, giving students the opportunity to think about their thinking, in and out of the classroom.
This showcase enabled students to build confidence and communication skills, helping them become effective, lifelong learners.
Mr J. Davenport, Regional Director for the Thinking Schools Academy Trust in the south- west, acted as compere for the two performances and recognised them as ‘unique learning opportunities’.
“It was fantastic to host such a brilliant, vibrant spectacle of performances and see some great creative artwork too.
“At the Thinking Schools Academy Trust, we’re privileged to support students in their journey with us, offering a variety of enriching ways for them to learn”.
This event celebrated our strong sense of community through collaboration, demonstrating what can be achieved when our schools come together.
