On Thursday 26th June, Brixham College’s Greenpower team, Team Oblivion, travelled to Predannack Airfield in Cornwall for the final race of their season and what a finish it was!
Despite the absence of team manager Henry Bowles, team members Nevaeh and Penny rose to the challenge, expertly managing lap times and pit stops. Meanwhile, Harrison and Will provided valuable support on the ground, showing the strength and cohesion of the entire team.

The second race began with a few challenges, including a slow first lap due to car concerns. However, once Owen was confident in the car’s performance, he pushed hard to regain lost ground. Oliver followed with a strong stint, and am brought us home with determination. The team impressively climbed from 26th to 11th place, showcasing resilience and teamwork.

The highlight of the day was winning the Best Portfolio Award, a proud moment that brought smiles to the entire team.
We wrapped up the season with our best overall performance, covering a total distance of 30.65 miles in 90 minutes—an improvement of 1 mile over last year. Unfortunately, this fell just short of the 31.2-mile benchmark needed to qualify for Goodwood based on last year’s standards. (Last year, we qualified via a Royal Navy wildcard.)
