Intent
At our college, every child and young person engages with a thoughtfully designed Values curriculum that places the learner at the heart of all planning, learning, and assessment. This curriculum is rooted in high expectations and promotes continuous development, ensuring that each student is both challenged and supported to grow academically and personally. It responds to both local and global contexts, recognising and celebrating the richness and diversity of our students’ backgrounds, experiences, knowledge, and values. By building on what learners already bring to the classroom, we cultivate knowledge, character, and a sense of leadership in every student.
Central to our approach is the integration of the PREVENT strategy. All staff complete WRAP training to ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment. This results in a robust, responsive, and integrated programme of study that not only safeguards our students but also empowers them to think critically and engage in meaningful discussions about the world around them.
